For Global Consultancy (Asker, Norway) Dr. De Angelis wrote a short report about the scientific and economic considerations associated with construction of a laboratory for the extraction and production of artemisinin and bromelain on an industrial scale from plants grown locally in Africa. The laboratory will service five African countries.
For BioRad Italy (Milan), Dr. De Angelis wrote an applications' manual for use with their commercial BRITE flow cytometer. The manual was both educational and practical, containing important background information on the included protocols, relevant references, as well as specific procedures and representative examples and figures detailing optimal results.
For Gyn Lab AS (Oslo, Norway), we advised on the design and setup of a flow cytometry laboratory facility that provided sperm chromatin structure analysis in an evaluation of male fertility potential. Dr. De Angelis wrote a training and applications manual for key personnel and provided quality control, data analysis, report preparation in the startup phase of operations and training of key personnel who overtook these functions.
About ME
Dr. Paula M. De Angelis has worked as a cancer research scientist for more than 25 years, and was employed at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City prior to her relocation to Norway. Dr. De Angelis received her PhD from the University of Oslo, Norway and her M.S. degree from New York University (Download PDF Resumé). She is the author and co-author of over 80 peer-reviewed publications (Download List of Published Articles), and has functioned as an advisor for several PhD and Master's degree students. Dr. De Angelis has traveled widely in the USA and Europe to attend numerous scientific conferences where she has presented her work. She has a broad international network of scientific colleagues, collaborators and friends.
